Thoughts about Haiti
Like many of you I have been completely taken by the stories and the images that are coming out of Haiti, the death and devastation are mind boggling. I know I have been trying to deal with several things in my mind, so here are some of my thoughts.
- Lord how do I pray for the people of Haiti and for the rescue workers who are trying to bring aid and relief to the country?
- As I have been looking at the images on the news sights I have been trying to look at the people and not just the destruction.
- I don’t always like looking at the images but am glad we have the technology to bring people more to the forefront of our minds. – Lord help me to see people as you do
- Trying to put myself in their shoes. I have never experienced something anywhere near what these people are dealing with and I am not sure how I would respond. Kara said to me last night that she could not imagine the pain and fear that they must be going through. - Lord bring them your peace
- Amazed in how social media and technology has enabled us to collect relief funds like never before.
- Praying that God will give us ways to help in the days and months to come because there is no quick recovery from something like this. – Lord help us not forget the people of Haiti and those who are helping them
- We need to have the heart of God and pray for those who are going through tragedies.
- Proverbs 14:31 says, “Those who oppress the poor insult their Maker, but helping the poor honors him.” The people of Haiti are poor in so many ways right now, some have no food, water, homes, a place to sleep and many of them have no hope.
Lord help us to know how we can send your hope to Haiti.

Gr8 post Scott! This morning I recieved a tweet about a 64 year old women just recused. We need to continue to pray for those still missing. Also for relief workers & and supplies getting to those in need.
